Trading course

Swing Trading in the Capital Markets

Hands-on training in DJR's trading method: short-to-medium-term trading in the US financial markets, in indices, stocks, ETFs and options as capital leverage, with dynamic, tight risk management. The method is the same for all students, and the track is set by your level: the beginners track also covers the foundation topics, and the experienced track skips them and focuses on the method itself.

Who it is for

Who the course is for

For anyone who wants to gain an independent trading skill, not tied to time or place, through a structured, disciplined process. This is an educational course: not investment advice, not recommendations and not signals.

01

A broad basis for every decision

Market regime, sector, company and chart are distilled into one well-founded trading decision: entry, risk and exit.

02

Limit the loss, make the most of the profit potential

For every trade, the amount of risk, the exit point and the position size are set in advance, before the entry.

03

DJR Desk: the method, inside a system

Unique trading software that DJR developed, with the method taught in the course built into it. It supports you from the start of the course, at no cost throughout the course and for one month after. After that you can continue with a paid monthly subscription. It is a choice, not a requirement: the course stands on its own.

By the end of the course

Questions about the course

Do I need prior knowledge?
For the beginners track, no: you start from the foundations, what a market is, what a stock is and how a trade is executed. The experienced track is for those who already know the basics.
What is the difference between the tracks?
All tracks learn the same method. The beginners track starts from zero, also covers the foundation topics (marked “Beginners only” in the syllabus), and moves at a calm pace with more practice. The experienced track skips the foundation topics and focuses on the method. In the private course, the pace is set by the student.
Is this a day-trading course?
No. The course teaches analysis and trading on daily and weekly charts, in a structured process. It is not intraday trading.
Does the course recommend stocks?
No. This is an educational course, not investment advice. Any stock mentioned in the course is a teaching example only, and trading carries a risk of loss.
What tools do I need?
You don't need a brokerage account during the course. You practise on a free charting site and on DJR Desk, DJR's trading system, which supports you from the start of the course. It is free throughout the course and for one month after, and continuing with a subscription is your choice, not a condition.
What is DJR Desk?
DJR Desk is the trading system DJR built and trades with himself. The method taught in the course is embedded in it, the result of years of trading experience. It puts in front of you the picture a professional trader builds layer by layer, from the market, through the sectors, down to the stock, without extensive analysis of your own. Market strength is shown to you as a decision-support tool. When the market or the sector is not right, the stock will not appear on the trading lists, even when its chart looks perfect. What does appear is ranked by a single quality score, on a daily list and a weekly list that update after every US trading day. From there the system supports the trade: a risk calculation based on your settings when you ask for it, a nightly check of your open positions, and a trading journal that records itself. It is a working tool, not advice: the decision is always yours.
Do I have to use DJR Desk?
No. The course stands on its own, and everything taught in it can be applied with other tools as well. But without the system you need to gather the information from many sources, some of them raw files from regulators, and then know how to build a single matrix from it and how much weight to give each component in every decision. DJR Desk does that for you, from finding the trade to closing it. After the free period, you decide whether to continue.
How is DJR Desk different from other scanners?
Ordinary scanners filter by whatever you ask for, and everything that passes looks equal, even when the market is against it. In DJR Desk the method is built into the system: the market and the sector come before the stock, only what meets the method's conditions reaches the list, and there it is ranked by quality. And the system does not stop at scanning: it carries on to the risk calculation, position tracking and the journal. Behind it stands the trader who built it and teaches the method in the course. It covers US stocks and ETFs, and updates after every trading day.
What happens after the free month?
You can continue with a paid monthly subscription, or not. There is no commitment, and you will get a reminder before the free period ends.
