Accessibility statement

This English version is a translation of the Hebrew original. If there is any difference between them, the Hebrew version prevails.

DJR LAB considers it important to provide equal service to every person, including people with disabilities. The website djrlab.com was built with the intention of meeting the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA.

What we have done on the site

  • The English version is set as English, left to right, so screen readers read it correctly.
  • A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page, which lets you go directly to the main content.
  • The entire site can be navigated using the keyboard alone. The element in focus is marked with a prominent outline.
  • A page structure with ordered headings, defined navigation and content regions, and lists.
  • Every form field has a label. Error messages are shown next to the field in clear text and are read out to screen readers.
  • Images have alternative text. Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text colors were chosen so that there is sufficient contrast against the background.
  • The site respects the operating system's "reduce motion" setting: animations and smooth scrolling are turned off for anyone who has asked for this.
  • You can enlarge the display using the browser. The site is adapted for phones, tablets and computers.
  • Videos do not play by themselves and open only on click.

No "accessibility plugin" has been installed on the site. The adjustments were made in the site's own code, and the accessibility tools of the browser and of the operating system (magnification, contrast, read-aloud) work on it.

Known limitations

  • The lesson presentations in the student area were converted from existing presentations, and some of the graphs and charts in them may not have a full text description.
  • Not all attached files (such as PDF files) uploaded to the student area have been made accessible.
  • External services — the payment provider's payment page, Zoom, YouTube, WhatsApp, Discord and TradingView — are operated by third parties, and their level of accessibility is not under our control.
  • The live sessions currently have no permanent automatic captions. You can request an adjustment in advance (see below).

We continue to improve accessibility. If you have encountered a difficulty, we will be glad to hear about it and fix it.

Accessibility of the courses and sessions

If you need an adjustment in order to take part in the course — for example, receiving materials in another format, a verbal explanation of a chart, additional breaks or getting to an in-person session — contact us before the course begins and we will make every effort to help. Accessibility arrangements at the venue of the in-person sessions: [to be completed: venue address, entrance accessibility, disabled parking, accessible restrooms — or "The in-person sessions are held at a venue that will be set and detailed before registration"].
