About the course and the tracks

What do you learn in the course?
Trading US stocks, with options as leverage. You build a process step by step: reading the market, sectors and rotation, fundamental analysis, technical analysis, entries, stops and position size, options, and psychology and discipline. At the end you write a trading plan of your own. The full breakdown is in the syllabus.
What is the difference between the beginners track and the experienced track?
The beginners track starts from zero: what a market is, what a stock is, how to read a chart and why risk comes first. The experienced track is for those who already know the basics, and skips the foundation topics. The method is the same for both tracks. Not sure? DJR will help you choose on the intro call.
What does the course look like in practice?
Live sessions in a small group, following the cohort schedule. Between sessions you practise on a free charting site and on DJR Desk, hand in tasks and get feedback from DJR. The student area holds the lessons and slides, the tasks and review questions.
Is this day trading?
No. The course does not teach intraday trading. You learn to analyse the market and the company, to plan a trade lasting several days to weeks on the daily and weekly chart, and to manage it with a structured plan and a trading journal.
Do I need to buy software or a subscription?
No. You don't need to buy anything during the course: a free charting site is enough for charts, and DJR Desk, DJR's trading system, is free for students throughout the course and for one month after. After that you can continue with a monthly subscription, if you choose.
What is DJR Desk?
DJR Desk is the trading system DJR built and trades with himself. The method taught in the course is embedded in it, the result of years of trading experience. It puts in front of you the picture a professional trader builds layer by layer, from the market, through the sectors, down to the stock, without extensive analysis of your own. Market strength is shown to you as a decision-support tool. When the market or the sector is not right, the stock will not appear on the trading lists, even when its chart looks perfect. What does appear is ranked by a single quality score, on a daily list and a weekly list that update after every US trading day. From there the system supports the trade: a risk calculation based on your settings when you ask for it, a nightly check of your open positions, and a trading journal that records itself. It is a working tool, not advice: the decision is always yours.
Is this investment advice?
